Diploma in Automobile Engineering
We understand that Automobile engineering is a vehicle engineering which covers a major part of the mechanical, electrical, electronic, software and safety engineering.
Automobile Engineering focuses on modification of vehicles and deals with manufacturing and assembling various parts of the automobiles. The field of automobile engineering links with research and innovation of new things. The major goal of automobile engineering is to design, develop, fabricate, and test vehicles or vehicle components from the concept stage to production stage.
The program aims to produce middle level technicians with best technical skills.
The duration of the course is Three years. The course is designed on a semester system. Generally one semester consists 16 weeks (6 month)

Pre-Diploma in Automobile Engineering
Pre Diploma in Automobile Engineering course is designed to produce a basic level workforce in the field of automobile engineering sectors. The course is based on practical exposure in different areas as required. In every subject, topical explanations will be followed by demonstrations by instructors. In all tasks, students will be asked to practice by themselves through do-it-yourself/hands-on practices which will help the students to internalize what they learn in the classroom.
The program aims to prepare a competent basic level workforce in the field of automobile engineering.
This course will be completed within 18 months. There will be 15 months (40 hours/week X 52 weeks = 2060 hrs.) institute based learning and 3 months (480 hrs) on the job training (OJT) in different industries.

Pre-Diploma in Automobile Engineering (Apprenticeship)
“Apprenticeship is a system of training a new generation of practitioners of a trade or profession with on-the-job training and often some accompanying study (classroom work and reading). Apprenticeship also enables practitioners to gain a license to practice in a regulated profession. Most of their training is done while working for an employer who helps the apprentices learn their trade or profession, in exchange for their continued labor for an agreed period after they have achieved measurable competencies”.
Apprenticeship is also defined as a workplace-based learning to develop a specific competency. The approach is developed with collaboration of technical training institutes and industries/businesses in training implementation to enhance employability. The apprenticeship emphasizes on the systematic learning in a real working environment complimented by inputs from technical institutes”.
The aim of this course is to produce a competent workforce with skills and knowledge to undertake automobile repairing in industries.
The apprenticeship course will be completed within 24 months. The total hours of the course will be 4378 in the period of 24 months. First 15 weeks of pre-training courses are institute based and the rest of the courses will be conducted in industries with close guidance and supervision of in-company trainers. After 15 weeks (pre-training), the apprentice will be engaged in industries. However, once every week, they go back to the institute to learn new skills and solve any difficulties which arise in industries.
